Funded study opportunities in Ireland

The College of Arts, Celtic Studies & Social Sciences (CACSSS) at University College Cork is offering
23 Postgraduate Scholarships
(12 MA scholarships and 11 PhD Scholarships)

Under this scheme you can apply for funding for the following programmes:

MA in Contemporary Religions

PhD in Study of Religions

The department has a thriving research culture with staff specialisms in South Asian religions, contemporary Islam, Orthodox Christianity, indigenous worldviews and religion and gender. Current postgraduate students’ research topics include indigenous religions in India, contemporary European paganisms, Sufism in Sudan and Irish vernacular religion.

Scholarship Details

Masters Excellence Scholarships
The scholarship entitles you to a full EU fee waiver for your Masters. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must:
• Be starting a taught Masters programme in CACSSS in September 2015
• Have at least Second Class Honours (Grade 1) or equivalent in your first or subsequent degree.

PHD Excellence Scholarships
The scholarship entitles you to a full EU fee waiver for your PhD. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must:
• Be starting a PhD (or PhD Track or MPhil as a pathway to a PhD) in CACSSS in September 2015
• Have at least Second Class Honours (Grade 1) or equivalent in your first or subsequent degree.
